Our Certified Instructors
Bio
I'm a professional musician, storyteller, actor, music educator and certified Children's Yoga Instructor, specializing in early and elementary education. As a music teacher for ten years, I'm deeply rooted in play-based and emergent methods, and my music pedagogy combines movement-based activities, joyful sing-alongs and songwriting. In addition to incorporating those elements into Yo Re mi, I lead workshops on mindful language and how to support a creative learning environment. I play a dozen or so instruments well. I play many others in a mediocre fashion. I produce and direct all of the Yo Re Mi videos. It's been a fun challenge! I cook a decent pot roast and smoke a better brisket. I also love growing cherry tomatoes and picking wild black raspberries with my two incredible kids. I like taking a canoe on a solo paddle with a cup of coffee. I should do that more often!
